My
name is Pal and I am a lab mutt (mostly lab) and I have been adopted by Irene
and Jim Gaffigan. Of course, I am now in the process of training them, so things
can be done my way. I am 3 years old and was brought to the Lucy Mackenzie Humane
Society in May - my old owners couldn't keep me any longer, I liked everyone at
the home and made a lot of friends, but I was looking for just the right people
to go home with. One day Irene and Jim came to visit - I played it real cool (didn't
want them to think I just had to go with them) and next thing I knew they came
to pick me up.
I love riding in the car and sitting with them on the couch and really enjoy our walks together in the evenings. I really love the way they talk to me and go wild when they stroke me on my stomach - Jim is pretty impressed that I can sleep on my head with my paws up.. I also like to be hugged and hug back. Jim is usually around and I can get anything I want from him (he is a mush). Irene is a little tougher, but I know she loves me and will eventually give in - which she does.
Irene is a Realtor for Lang McLaury Spera Real Estate - I think that is pretty neat, I keep trying to tell her to take me with her when she meets her clients and customers, but so far no luck (I'll keep trying though). I mean, when you think about it, who can resist my face and I am so good. The other good thing is that I am a true Vermonter - I was born here; that has to count for something.
Irene has this neat office in the house with a couch, which I just love to sit on - I just fit. This way if she needs my help I am right there (it is also close to the front door).
I am going to tell all my friends to tell their families that if they are looking to buy or sell real estate in the Okemo Mountain, Rutland or Kllington areas they should call Irene - after all I do have to eat!
